Best things to do in Como Lake
Como lake is not only a popular destination for rich and famous people, but for all kinds of tourists and there are many things to do and appreciate.
Lake Como is not the largest lake in Italy (an honor that belongs to Lake Garda), but certainly it is one of the most attractive. George Clooney, Madonna and many other celebrities have visited or purchased homes in this corner of paradise, and that is why many tourists spend their holidays at Lake Como.
Lake Como has an upside down Y-shape, rich of gardens, luxurious villas and unique villages that embrace the coast. It is known for its breathtaking scenery, temperate climate, wonderful villas and gardens.
Lido di Menaggio
Lido di Menaggio is located at the end of the main lakeside promenade, 15 minutes walk from the harbour.
Equipped with a swimming pool, a beach with deckchairs, it takes 3 minutes by car to arrive, it offers parking for boats.

Visit Varenna
Varenna is a beautiful town located on the shores of Lake Como and faces Bellagio, to which it is connected by ferryboat.
In Varenna you can relax one the lake shore or visit the enchanting gardens of Villa Monastero and Villa Cipressi.
You can visit Castello di Vezio, a medieval castle surrounded by an olive grove and from which begins the shortest river in Italy, the Fiumelatte.

Enjoy a lake cruise
Taking a cruise is one of the best things you can do on Lake Como, during which you can appreciate some vip’s houses, like Richard Branson
The views of the towns and villages on the lake are best seen from the lake, ferry services can be took, which depart drom Como, we highly reccomend it.
The cruises depart from Como, Bellagio, Varenna and Tremezzo and many other places, with various boats, including a steamer boat, various itineraries are possible around the lake.
Another option is Taxiboat Varenna which offers fantastic cruises on its Venetian-style water taxi.
If you want to see Richard Branson’s villa or George Clooney’s house, this is the best way to do it.
Menaggio
Menaggio has many natural beauties, like its enchanting lakeside, where you can practice water sports during the hottest summer months.
You will find a large public swimming pool with a private beach, mini golf and a 18-holes golf course, these are just some of the ways to keep yourself busy in Menaggio.
Bellagio
Probably the most famous town on Lake Como, Bellagio is located in the point where the two arms of the lake meet. It is one of the most romantic and beautiful places on Lake Como. Bellagio offers hotels and restaurants of great class, elegant and characteristic, this is why it is known as “the pearl of the lake”. You will find narrow cobbled streets, built on steep slopes, lined with picturesque buildings, shops and restaurants, it is easy to spend hours wandering the numerous alleys that begin from the shore. The crowded lakeside promenade is bustling with activity during the summer, there are many cafes, restaurants, shops and ferry terminal. Bellagio has two gardens open to the public, Villa Melzi and Villa Serbelloni. You will find almost always a mild and relaxing climate, you can practice various water sports but also trekking and hill walking.
