Hiking in Como Lake

Walking around Como Lake area allows you to keep in touch with nature and it is a unique experience.

The Como Lake Greenway  and Spina Verde routes are suitable for all kind of hikers.

The Wayfarer’s  trail

A walk you cannot miss! You will pass through woods and meadows, make short climbs and small descents while admiring incredible lake and mountain landscapes.
Along the wayfarer’s path you will enjoy silence and scents of a well-kept verdant nature and a beautiful landscape. The path follows all the eastern side of the lake, it is always quiet and shady. You can stop in any place along the path to have lunch.
It is open only during public holidays and in August.

The Path of Expressions

You reach it from Schignano, going towards the hamplet of Posa, follow the signals.
Several paths begin on the side of a narrow road where you must finf parking.
Along the path you will find, one after the other, a series of sculptures carved in the trunks of fallen plants.
The refinement of the workmanship is really impressive.
At the end of th path another pleasant surprise is there for you, a glance at Lake Como that will leave you speechless.
The whole route is beautiful, surrounded by nature and a very well kept path.
At Alpe Comana you will find a farm where you can enjoy typical food.

The Kilometer of Knowledge

The entrance to the Kilometer of Knowledge is at Villa del Grumello, not far from the famous Villa Olmo.
Free entrance, no reservation or ticket are required.
An evocative pedestrian route that passes in within three beautiful Como villas: Villa Olmo, Villa del Grumello and Villa Sucota; along the path you can appreciate parks full of greenhouses, chapels, lemon houses, artwork, the Fabric Museum, the Music Pavillion and botanical rarities.

The Kilometer of Knowledge is a unique walk among flowers, plants, ancient trees along Lake Como
The park is perfectly maintained, there are relaxing areas including the greenhouse pond. A walk for lovers of nature and suggestive places.
