Villa d’Este elegance competition – 21 and 22 may

Among the events dedicated to vintage cars, the Villa d’Este Elegance Competion is probably the most prestigious and undoubtedly the most traditional, since it was celebrated for the first time in 1929, the golden age of aristocratic cars.

The Grand Hotel Villa d’Este is one of the most prestigious hotels in the world and its location on the shores of Lake Como offers guests and visitors the chance to admire about 50 vintage cars built in between 1920 and the 1980.

Cars are divided into categories and judged by an exclusive team of experts who award the BMW Group Trophy, a trophy reserved for exceptional cars, capable of expressing beauty, passion and uniqueness.

As part of the competition, the public also plays a fundamental role, as it rewards the participants with applause and expresses its vote for the awarding of the Golden Cup Villa d’Este, the most traditional prize of the competition.

In addition to the unique cars, other elements that contribute to make the competition an unforgettable experience are the participants, the collateral events, the gardens and buildings of Villa d’Este, the magnificent landscape of Lake Como and the deep passion for vintage cars.
